    Form 1099-a abandonment of secured property

    What form do i use to include the imformation from 1099a to clients return?

      A 1099-A is treated as a sale of the property.

      So the sale goes on Form 8949/Schedule D if it was personal-use property, or Form 4797 if it was business or rental property.

      There is no specific need to enter the 1099-A itself.
