health care exemption

nephew collected unemployment January & February. got hired February 27 but employer did not provide health insurance until he was employed 60 days. he was covered from May to December by new company. he has penalty because not covered for four months. is there an exemption for the two months he was employed but not covered? he was not homeless, evicted etc thank you

No, nothing in your post indicates he qualifies for any exemptions, and it seems like he will owe 4 months of the penalty.
