    AOC & Hope Tax Credit

Have a 32-year old client who is going back to school. AOC started in 2009, and I know that no credits have been taken then or since. That is as far as my records go back. However, Hope started in 1998 and was for 2 years of post-secondary school. Assuming the client may have taken that, does it matter? Or do you get 4 years AOC no matter what?

I should have stated the TP is going back to school for a Masters as she has already graduated from college having attended 4 years. So AOC apparently is out. She can take LLC.
