Are the questions for this dreaded form different this year? Always have trouble filling out this form. Thinking about not doing Eic's anymore. Not worth the trouble.

Since it's also required for CTC and AOTC, you would be limiting your practice.
I don't see where it is that big of a deal. I made a worksheet where I record clients answers, have them sign, and then keep in file. It's an opportunity to share laugh w/ client when I ask them if their preschooler provided 1/2 of their own support! -
The 8867 has changed in its wording. Last year line 4 and 5 were subject to interpretation. We had many discussions on it and I called the IRS for clarification. They have since updated the wording of 4 and 5 making it pretty plain. Compare last years to this years.Comment
