Coverdell education account contributions in future?

I thought I read somewhere and can't remember where and now I question if it is even true.
Is contributions to the Coverdell education account still allowed in 2018 and beyond? I thought I had read that no more allowed after 12/31/17.

It depends on what happens with the GOP tax bill. Details on what is in the revised bill are supposed to be released late this afternoon.
