Can I Increase Basis Of Property Purchased For Investment By Expenses Such As Taxes, Insurance, And Interest Rather Than Sch A Since T/p Cannot Itemize?

I Thought There Was An Irs Tax Code That I Had To State This Election The Year Of Investment.
