    Donates Food for Animals?

Client mentioned that she takes care of animals for an agency in her home with no compensation. She does have expense for food and does this because she loves animals. The food used, would that deductible somewhere and somehow?

Some local ASPCA chapters allow volunteers to take care of abandoned animals in their home if they are full. I had one client that produced a receipt from the organization with the details including the expense that was reported to the agency.
