    Military Settlement SCRA violation

    Has anyone who received lump sum payment for damages due to wrongful foreclosure been able to prove it should be treated as gain for sale of main home versus claiming the income as gross income?

    I would think there would be calculations to be made based on how much of the settlement covered the costs the TP incurred prior to the foreclosure. Did the TP lose any equity? More info needed on the settlement.
    Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.
