Works and lives here in the USA at a hospital. Lived in Israel, earned a pension, and moved to the USA. Has w2 earnings. The pension amount is in shekels. Does this simply need to be converted to US funds and where is it reported?
If it is reported on the US return, it will have to be converted to US dollars. Check tax treaty with Israel to determine if it needs to be reported and to what extent after he moved to US. It is not earned income so FEIE will not apply.
