    I am fairly sure that everything is done right but would love confirmation.

    Parents are low income and qualify for EITC since child was student through May.

    Student (not any longer after May) earned quite a bit of income and there is no doubt that student supported herself over 50%. Therefore student claims herself.

    In short, parents get EITC for child but not the dependency exemption and child claims herself.
