    Pennsylvania form 1500

    Can anyone in PA give me help understanding what a PA 1500 is for. My client lives in Kentucky. His mother died in 2016 in Pennsylvania and he got a check for 8400 as his part of the inheritance and the attorney gave him a for PA 1500. He is concerned he might owe something to PA. Any help appreciated.

      PA 1500 is for Inheritance Tax, it is not part of a tax return. You can find the instructions for filling one out at PA department of revenue site.

          So is he required to pay inheritance tax on the 8400 from his mother's estate
