    1099 m

    Farmer has agreement with farm owner to split fert. and seed cost. Farmer pay total cost and bills owner for 1/2 the cost. When the owner pays the Farmer does he have to issue a 1099M.

      Is he making a payment for services in the course of a trade or business? "fert. and seed cost" doesn't sound like services to me, but then I'm not a farmer, although I wanted to be one when I was a kid.
