    Grants

    Client received a $20,000.00 Federal Grant to be used in for his new business. He does not need to repay it. Is this grant money considered income in the year received?

      Absolutely. This is Revenue

      This is pure revenue, Derek Jeter. Obviously some kind of govt subsidy, but revenue nonetheless. Just as if the money had come from a customer.
