Using ATX software and preparing a NY IT-203. To create my e-file I'm getting this error message - 'If the New York tax preparer registration identification number is not required, one of the exclusion codes must be entered.' I have no NY preparer ID number but I'm not sure where to find these codes. As I'm preparing returns out of my home state in the midwest, I'm guessing there is a code for this. Any suggestions? Thanks.

01 Attorney
02 Employee of Attorney
03 CPA
04 Employee of CPA
05 Public Accountant
06 Employee of Public Accountant
07 Enrolled Agent
08 Employee of Enrolled Agent
09 Volunteer Tax Preparer
10 Employee of business preparing the business return
Hope you our one of these as in NY if you do 1 return for a fee you have register with the state.
