Geo thermal heat pumps

Do all geo thermal heat pumps qualify for the 30% credit? or do I need to get a certification? also, local co-op gives a rebate, heat pump put in 2015, client hasn't received the rebate yet. Do I need to find out the rebate amount and subtract off cost of heat pump and then figure 30% energy credit?

Energystar.gov lists out the specs for the credit and also has a look up by manufacturer and model. My opinion is a manufacturer rebate should reduce the credit but a rebate from a utility company should not.
