    1099 Dividend Amt 8: Form issued by Farmers Union Oil Company

    Very strange format unlike I ever saw before. Not your typical 1099 form. Anyone familiar with it?

      Meaning reported in box 8? Unless distribution exceeds basis it's a non-taxable event.

          There is usually (not always) a corresponding entry on 1099-B when there is a sale. Could be a reportable gain on Schedule D. I have seen several this year for some investments.
