    Property Tax

My client inherited her mom's house in October of 2015 and now owns it, but the property tax papers are not in her name as of yet. She paid the property taxes, on this property that she owns although the bill was not in her name yet. Can she deduct the property taxes? I say yes, is that right?

I say yes if you can document that she paid them after mom died and before the house was put in her name. Also keep a copy of the payment check/receipt.
Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.
