Need web site to get quick historical stock values

I am looking for a free web site that would be quick & easy to get historical stock values at date of death for the heirs to use as their cost/basis.

I would appreciate any & all suggestions. mikeburg

I use www.bigcharts.com. They also account for splits.

Most (all?) listed companies have their historical stock prices on their own web sites.

That, too. It is just easier to go to one site for all. Complications arise when there are mergers and acquisitions and you need to go back further than that date. If the old company still exists, sometimes their sites have useful info.

It is always a nightmare to have a client walks in, tells you he has sold stocks that he bought more than 30 years ago and he cannot find any of the original purchase information.
