I have a new client who is not happy with his preparer. He wants me to do his taxes. The problem is that he has a NOL dating back to 2002. How do I start without knowing all the facts from the last 14 years?
ask for copies of the returns or have him sign a POA and get transcripts from E-services for income, returns and accounting. You can get return transcripts back 3 years but the others back at least to 1990
