Job description.

A controller is someone who looks very knowing. He (or she) walks around and observes. He asks a lot of questions. He has things like a tickler file. He looks in his file every day and asks more questions.

He helps out the company tremendously, because after he comes things get done. Of course they got done before he came, but how good could it have been if there was no tickler file or no knowing looks or no repetitive nagging, ie questions.
