    W-2 Box 14 EE-CRI (Earnings Summary says EE-CRIL)

W-2 shows EE-CRI in Box 14 while the Earnings Summary says EE-CRIL. What is CRI or CRIL? I'm trying to figure out what was withheld from the employee's paycheck...but am stumped.

    Employer

Save time and have client ask employer if it is for informational purposes or info that is to go on return, if not on clients pay-stub (one would think clients knows what it is).

I agree. Ask client. Look at a paystub. Have client contact HR/employer. Most Box 14 items are informational, but sometimes a deduction for your client shows up there. Ask questions. Yes, asking here was a good start, but I never heard of CRI or CRIL either.
