    DOT standard meal allowance for 2006

    Does anyone know the standard meal allowance for 2006 for DOT workers? I have found that the limit for M&IE has been raised to 75% but I cannot find the new meal rate.

    Truckers Meal Rate

    Effective October 1, 2005, the special meal allowance for transportation workers went from $41/day to $52/day.

    As you noted, effective Jan 1, 2006, an over the road trucker can deduction 75% of that amount.
