    Household employee

Question is basically: If I have 2 hsehold employees. On one I pay $2000 and the other one I pay $1500. Do I owe the SS and MT tax on both because the total is above the limit or do I owe on 1 but not the other?

I realize FED and state unemployment rules are different and have a grasp on that.

Just trying to be sure I am telling TP correct info.

    Thanks.

    Schedule H $1,900 threshold

See Schedule H, then Question A, and also instructions for line 1 of Part I.

On quick review of that information, it appears FICA/MED is due only on the single employee who broke the $1,900 threshold.

As you stated, the remainder of Schedule H will require more calculations. . .
