    IRS announces IRA and 401(k) limitations for the year 2016

    On October 21, 2015 the IRS announced the inflation adjustments that affect contribution limits for IRAs and 401(k) plans for the year 2016. Bottom line: They are unchanged.

    The various qualification and phase-out levels, however, most of which take place at income levels between $100,000+ and $200,000, did increase slightly ... $1,000 for most of them ... but these minor changes will have little or no effect for the vast majority of taxpayers.
