    Can form 4506-T be faxed as instructions indicate?

    Can form 4506-T be faxed as instructions indicate? The IRS has taken some security measures by no longer allowing income transcripts to be accessed online so has the IRS changed course on the 4506-T about faxing and thus it needs to be mailed in?

      I don't see any difference between faxing a signed form and mailing it. What they wanted to stop was abuse of the online system.
