    Pastor Income

    In 2013, Church filed 1099 rather than W-2 for pastor but also gave him housing allowance. Pastor is just now handling his 2013 tax return. Should church send in corrected 1099 showing no income and file a W-2? Church filed nothing for 2014.....great at tending their flock, but not so great at accounting.

    That would be my approach with an extension for 2014. He should persist on getting the correct documents. If that fails I would file with a substitute W-2 for both years.
