    Colorado's Filing Requirements for NONRESIDENTS with Mineral Rights Lease

    I have a client that MFJ with Federal AGI of $112,000 and has a 1099-Rents for $2560 from Mineral Rights Lease from Colorado. They are NONRESIDENTS of Colorado. Are they required to file a Colorado State return with the $2560 Mineral Rights Lease?

      All of YOU that viewed & didn't know the answer....

      I found my answer. The answer is yes, and my client owes $88 to State of Colorado.

      I do have THE TAX BOOK'S ALL States Handbook and it was not made clear. I searched online and found the answer on Colorado's website.
