5695 residential energy credit

Client had Natural Gas GENERAC Automatic generator installed to his home in 2014 cost $12,500. This generator will run 1/2 the house services in the event of a storm and power outage including heat, hot water, stove, freezers refrigerators. I don't see that a generator is listed as approved for Form 5695 Residential Energy Credits. Just looking for confirmation. Thanks in advance.

This comes up every year, and I also have one. Always have figured it was a no.
