Efiling 1099's

I have efiled a client's 1099. Now we have discovered another needs to be sent in. Can I efile another 1096 with the new 1099, or do I have do to a corrected?

You just create a new 1099 and the 1096 to go with it and efile it. There is nothing to correct.

However, if you were correcting a 1099 that had already been filed, you would just send that 1099 in, along with a new 1096, showing the corrected amount.

Thanks, that's what i thought, but logic isn't always correct
