Another practitioner said her software tells her that the Form 8891 is no longer to be used after TY2013. Drake doesn't give my any indication that is so, and neither does the IRS website. Has anyone heard that the 8891 is no longer to be used for 2014?

Mandatory use of that form has been eliminated, but the form is still available and may be voluntarily completed and attached to the U.S. return of Canadians. Here's a link to a fairly recent article in Forbes about this:
