I have a client that is a construction worker and belongs to a union. He told me that the union told him he could deduct mileage from his home to his place of work. I don't think this is correct, but didn't know if belonging to a union affected this.

The only way that will work is if he commutes from his home to his primary location which could be the union office and then he goes from the union office to the job site.
I have a brick layer and mason who have to report at the union office each morning and look up a sheet on where he is going to go that day to work. Sometimes in one day he may work at more than 2 job sites.Taxes after all are the dues that we pay for the privileges of membership in an organized society. - FDR
