    ACA and Medicaid -- confused

I wasn't expecting any clients to have ACA related returns. Today a new client came in and told me that she got their insurance through Medicaid. I asked if it was through the market place and she said yes. No 1095-A received. I am totally confused about how the ACA penalty and Medicaid works.

If a taxpayer her their health insurance through Medicaid she is exempt from the ACA penalty, correct? If so, do I simply check box 61 and am done? No other forms to file?

In this case her AGI was $28,000 and she has a child. Does it matter what her income is if she got her health insurance through Medicaid?

If she is on Medicaid, nothing is reportable or taxable. She had insurance for the entire year (?), then mark the boss and move on.
