    ammendment for 2013

I am wondering if I am prohibited from filing an amendment for 2013? I understand that amendments for 2014 are closed until april 15th, but can't find anything about 2013....

Why would amendments for 2014 be closed until April 15th?

You are not prohibited from filing an amended 2013 tax return now.

You aren't exactly prohibited from filing an amended 2014 return either but you can file a "corrected" 1040 up until 04/15/15.

I agree, you should or can send amended return (1040X) before 4/15/2015, however, please explain how to send "corrected" 1040 before 4/15/15. Can't find any regulation allowing the filing of second 1040 before filing date.
        Thanks

Thanks for the information--I'll stick with filing the 1040X
