Illinois S- Corp sold to Wisc Resident

An Illinois S-corp is being sold to a Wi resident.

Does the Wisconsin person need a registered agent or other formality in order to own an out of state S-corp?

Check with Illinois, but I suspect that something like an in-state registered agent will be required. Florida, for example, has such a requirement.
