I'm getting this message on my computer as a pop-up. It appears to come from "Windows Activation Technologies." Is this some kind of scam? Keeps coming back and can't seem to get rid of it. Anybody else experienced this?

I experienced a similar message on one of my personal laptop running Win 7 that had a motherboard crash and I reinstalled from a backup after getting a replacement motherboard on ebay. Also on my desktop screen at the bottom right it says this copy of Window is not genuine even though I have the Microsoft sticker on my computer.
Other than the annoying message all my programs run just fine as before.
In my case it did NOT provide any link to click to fix it because that would be a giveaway that it is malware.Taxes after all are the dues that we pay for the privileges of membership in an organized society. - FDR
