FIRE System

Anyone using the FIRE system: Do you know what the TCC and TIN numbers mean? Is that what the IRS will mail to me in about 45 days? I signed up for an account today and I'm not sure what to expect. Thanks to anyone for answering.

Correct, the TCC is your transmitter control code and the TIN is your EIN of your company. I have used FIRE for a couple of years now so I am going by memory here (suspect). You will use these numbers each time you sign in, they might just autofill or save each time you pull up the site.

When you receive your approval, you will go to the FIRE site and create a User and Password. Then you are on your way to creating many happy 1099s....
