    Ask a lot of questions!

Why all of a sudden the desire to file delinquent tax returns without IRS notice.

Generally you will find that these people are contemplating bankruptcy.

Just did 3 year filing for a home improvement guy who owed close to $12,000 in taxes. Fortunately no payroll taxes. Put him on a payment plan with Fed and state after a $1000 down payment and direct debit. He is now working for a building maintenance company with a stredy paycheck.

You are obligated to tell him he should file and should mention that his social security benefits may be affected if he doesn't. You are not obligated to rat him out to IRS if he doesn't take your advice.

mscash-I disagree with "rat him out"....if he doesn't file and pay his taxes...yours go up.
