    Roth IRA

    I have a question...I will start working soon. I would like to contribute to a Roth IRA now with previous savings. Can I do that now, or do I have to wait until I have earnigs?

    As long as you have earnings sometime in 2005, you can contribute to a Roth IRA in 2005. But if you do not plan to have earnings until 2006, then you can't make a Roth contribution until 2006.
