    Maryland certification

    Just a question? I do 10 returns for family members living in Maryland. Does anyone know if I have to take their test or be certified? Thanks No I am not a MD resident

      Geesh! It seems like everyone wants to register or license tax preparers. If you're a acttive, licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent your exempt from the Maryland registration requirements. If you search their site under the exam requirements there are a number of exemptions from the test, but all require registration.
