Hawaii income while living in CA

A client lives in CA and is the bookkeeper for a Hawaii company. The company sends work to her via email. Is she required to pay income tax to both the state of HI and CA? Thanks

Just CA. The client in HI is *required* to pay 4% use tax on the payments to the bookkeeper.

If she does the work in CA and gets paid in CA she has no tax consequences to Hawaii because she doesn't have to charge GET tax to her client
