Wages paid for additional care in nursing home. Do you need to file a schedule H for wages paid.

I wouldn't think so. Sche H is for employees who work in the home. But they would have to file a W-2 and 941's then, wouldn't they? Would they qualify for 944? It depends on the employee/employer relationship. Does the TP pay the nursing home for such care? Or the employee directly? And are they paid by the hour? Or is the person an independent contractor?
I have such a TP, but they pay an outside firm for this addl care.Last edited by Burke; 04-15-2014, 02:52 PM.
