IRS took their money 2 days before authorized to!

The IRS withdrew the tax due from my client's bank account two days before they were authorized to. (Good thing he had the funds in his account).
    Anyone else had this happen?
I'm trying to determine if it's a fluke or a practice of the IRS we need to complain about.

I complained to my tax software provider (TaxAct), but they said it was the IRS, not them.

Did the "authorized day" happen to be a Sunday?

      No, not a Sunday.
I had e-filed with a withdrawal date of 4/14/14. The IRS withdrew the funds this morning, 4/12/14. Two days early.

        Likely a valid withdrawal

        Withdrew or pending?

Saturday (April 12th) is not a banking day. Remember, it is "already" April 14th in the banking world. So if the client authorized a withdrawal on April 14th, a Saturday afternoon action is not "early."

My guess is that, when all the dust has settled, the bank account will show a "withdrawal date" of April 14th.
