    California Single Member LLC (SMLLC)

    Anyone California tax professionals around?

I have this client who owns a disregarded LLC (SMLLC). But I think California still requires the filing of Form 568. My tax program (Drake) does generate the Form 568. But it is all blank. It does not carry the income and expenses from the Federal Schedule C to the Form 568 at all. Is it right?

Don't know about Drake but in Lacerte there is a state taxes screen with a CA SMLLC sub screen. You have to link the sch C activity to the SMLLC. And don't forget the annual LLC fee of $800 and possible gross receipts fee.

      Drake

You have to start with the 1065 and that will produce the 568 for your SMLLC. No other way in Drake.
