The Chief

One of the finest folks in our "family", Billy O. Robertson, has been hospitalized with a mild heart attack in Tampa, FL.

"The Chief" has driven through Manchester, TN once or twice a year on his way back and forth between Michigan and Florida, and we have visited over dinner. He has been delayed on his trip back to Michigan for awhile -- I had an e-mail from his son. His message continued to say that he was hospitalized Sunday the 14th and has not suffered a serious problem, at least with initial diagnosis.

We wish the best for Chief -- I can tell you that if any of us were similarly ill, he would be reaching out for us.

Thank you for letting us know about Billy. I have emailed and talked to him a few times on the phone over the last couple of years and I think you'll agree with me that he is one of the kindest, most gentle persons you'd ever hope to meet.

I will attempt to email him, but if I'm unsuccessful, please relay my wishes for a speedy recovery and tell him and his family my prayers are with them. Like you said, he'd certainly be there for any of us, if the situation was reversed.
