    estate return extension

I have a client who files an estate return. The extension was due 2/15. He calls me to tell me he didn't send in any extensions (both federal and PA). There are always losses on the return. There is a rental property. Should he send in the extensions now. Or doesn't it matter as no tax is owed ??
    Thanks,
    Angie

Forget the extensions, it won't matter if he didn't meet the deadline. Just file the return. If no tax is due, no problem. I assume you are talking about Form 1041 from the information in your post, and not Form 706.
