    No SSN Yet For Adopted Foreign Child

    I'm guessing that an adoption finalized in 2013 for a foreign child cannot be claimed in 2013 without a SSN for the kid. The so-called ATIN appears to be only usable for a domestic child. I guess 2013 could be amended down the line when the SSN comes. Anyone know for sure?
