    Utah 1041 Question

I am an Iowa CPA that is preparing a 1041 for someone who passed away living in Utah.

Very small estate. No 706 needed. I have completed the Federal 1041 and when I went to my software (Pro-series), there is no 1041 return for Utah. There is nothing that says a Utah 1041 exists.

Does Utah have a filing requirement for a 1041?

    Form TC-41

Utah does appear to have a fiduciary income tax return. I am not familiar with the filing requirements. Don't know why there is nothing in Proseries. The forms appear to be available in Drake.

    Here's a couple of links:

Yes, there are a set of forms to file in Utah equivalent to a Federal 1041. I contacted pro-series and they do not support this particular form. Basically I have to prepare it by hand.

I am a little disappointed because I pay almost $2,000 for the software and I expected more.
