Storm Windows and Dorrs

My client said the window guy said storms don't qualify for the energy credit. I looked it up on line and found that after 2010 this is true. Is there anyone else who did not know this?

Where did you find that they do not qualify? Everything that I read shows that they do, and form 5695 has windows and doors listed at qualifying property. If I remember correctly they were set to expire at one time but the American Taxpayer Relief Act extended it. But I could be wrong and would like to know the correct answer.

Just remember that the amount is limited, and if the energy credit was taken after 2005, you are limited to $500 for all those years.
