    Average stay of 7 days or less

    When figuring whether a rental is used on average less than 7 days I read something about how to treat stays that were scheduled for 7 days or less but then extended. However, I did not understand if it was saying you treat it as two stays or one stay. Example, renter books place for 7 days. On day 6 he tells owner I would like to stay 4 more days. Is this a stay of 6 days and a stay of 4 days or one stay of 10 days for figuring the average number of days per stay?

    Can't claim to be an expert in this area, but I would base the average stay on the booking records. So, if taxpayer books for six days, then re-ups, the re-up is a new stay for determining averages.

    Seems reasonable.
