Where is a good place to go to get the historical price of a stock that was purchased
    in Dec. 2001?

Yahoo Finance is also a good source. Choose the "Historical Price" option after you have entered the symbol for your stock. The the data base on many stocks goes back to the 60's.

You can also go through this board. Go to "Links," then "Stock Market and Investments." Big Charts and other resources are linked from there.

              Another Option

Another option is: If you have a good relationship with a stock broker, they would be more than happy to research it for you and fax it to you. I have done that many times. Edward Jones Reps are especially helpful this way.
